Police in Srinagar arrested a drug peddler during routine patrolling in the jurisdiction of Police Station Nigeen and recovered contraband substance from his possession on Tuesday.
The police spokesman said that a police party of Police Station Nigeen arrested a drug peddler during routine patrolling of the area. The person was moving in suspicious conditions and tried to flee from the spot. However, the police party apprehended him and upon his personal search, 120 grams of charas was recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, Police have registered a case FIR No 03/2019 under relevant sections of law and initiated investigations in the matter.
