SRINAGAR: Police in Baramulla arrested an alleged drug peddler and seized a charas-like substance during a checkpoint operation at Dhobiwan Crossing.
A police team intercepted a Tavera vehicle (JK01BD-2547) driven by Adil Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Dar, a resident of Hardu Aboora. During a search, approximately 28 grams of a charas-like substance was recovered, and the accused was taken into custody while the vehicle was seized.
A case under FIR No. 15/2026 has been registered at Police Station Kunzer, and further investigation is under way.
Police reiterated their commitment to combating drug trafficking and urged the public to share information on narcotics-related activities.
