Srinagar: A Hizb Ul Mujahideen militant was arrested at Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district during search operation, Police said on Thursday.
A police official said that acting upon a tip off regarding the presence of a militant, multiple Naka’s were laid at different places last evening.
During the naka a militant, Hilal Ahmad Bhat son of Late Mehraj Ud Din Bhat, resident of Renzipora was apprehended at Dehwatoo Gulzarpora, police official said.
A Case FIR No 24/2017, US 20/38 ULA Act and 7/25 Arms act has been registered in P/S Awantipora in this regard.
