SRINAGAR: The police, in collaboration with security forces, have apprehended an associate of a militant group associated with the proscribed militant organisation TRF in Bandipora.
A hand grenade was seized from his possession.
Police, in conjunction with the 26 Assam Rifles and CRPF 3rd Battalion, detained a militant associate linked with the banned group TRF at a checkpoint set up in Kehnusa Bandipora.
During the search, a hand grenade and other incriminating materials were discovered in his possession. The individual has been identified as Aatif Amin Mir, a resident of Manzpora Aloosa Bandipora.
In connection with this incident, a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law at the Bandipora Police Station, and further investigations have been initiated.
