Police in South Kashmir’s Awantipora district arrested a person following action against those involved in drug dealings in the area.
One person identified as Bilal Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Dogripora was arrested for drug supply offences after being intercepted by a police party at a naka in Panzgam and seized 72 bottles of codeine phosphate from his possession.
He has been taken in custody and a case under relevant sections of law stands registered.
