police station Safapora on Monday raided a gambling site and arrested four gamblers from the spot.
The gamblers were identified as Javaid Ahmad Shah son of Abdul Ahad Shah resident of Seer Hamdan Islamabad presently residing at Gratabal Safapora, Nisar Ahmad Kutchay son of Abdul Ahad Kutchay resident of Safapora, Abdul Qayoom Shah son of Ghulam Mohammad Shah resident of Gratabal Safapora and Mohammad Shafi Sofi son of Noor ud Din Sofi resident of Gratabal Safapora.
The stake money of rupees 24500/= and gambling cards was also recovered from the gamblers.
In this regard case, F.I.R. No. 43/2017 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and further investigation has been taken up.
Meanwhile, Ganderbal police have also arrested a burglar who had barged in a masjid in Gund area of Ganderbal.
The burglar has been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Yatoo son of Sanaullah Yatoo resident of Yechama Kangan.
In this regard, FIR No 35/2017 was registered in Police Station Gund and further investigation has been taken up
