Badgam police on Thursday claimed to have arrested four gamblers in Khag area of central Kashmir’s Badgam district.
The spokesman said that Budgam police on Thursday raided a gambling site at Khag near grid station and arrested four identified as Akbar Ahmad Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Ayaz Ahmad Shah, residents of Khag and Abdul Rashid Sheikh resident of Hardu Sorish Khag.
Police also recovered the stake money of rupees 2200 and playing cards from the gambling spot.
In this regard, a case FIR number 13/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and an investigation was taken up, the spokesman added.
