The Jammu and Kashmir police on Friday arrested a fraudster for duping many young unemployed youths by providing them fake Visas, fake appointment orders and fake air tickets.

The spokesman said that Police in Budgam received a complaint against a job consultancy firm Gulf HR Solutions Hyderpora that the owner is cheating people on the pretext of providing jobs in foreign. A case FIR No. 97/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Budgam.

Police acting on a complaint arrested one individual identified as Adil Yousuf Sheikh son of Mohammad Yousuf Sheikh resident of Nowpora Khayam besides relevant records were also seized for the purpose of investigation.

Officers while investigating the case have learnt that the proprietor of Gulf HR consultancy has duped many young unemployed youths by providing them fake Visas, fake appointment orders and fake air tickets and illegally grabbed a huge chunk of money from each one of them. Police also arrested two drug peddlers in Srinagar, and contraband substances were seized from them.

The spokesman said that one person identified as Amir Gulzar Ahmed Seeno son of Late Abdul Ahad resident of Boatman Colony, Bemina was arrested for the drug supply offences by a police party from Police Station Raj Bagh.

During his search, some quantity of banned drugs Spasmoproxyvon was recovered. When the investigating officers spoke to Gulzar they learnt about the involvement of another person from the area in the drug peddling identified as Tariq Ahmed Nago son of Abdul Khaliq Nago resident of Habba Kadal, presently residing at Rawalpora Wanbal Chak.

Police later arrested Tariq from Rawalpora where a huge quantity of banned drugs including tablets, capsules and various other banned material was recovered. It is pertinent to mention that Tariq is a notorious drug peddler and several cases already stand registered against him, police said.

Case FIR No 32/2019 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Raj Bagh and investigation has been taken up. Meanwhile, police in its recent action targeting drug dealings in south Kashmir has arrested two drug peddlers and seized huge quantity of contraband substance.

On a specific input, Pulwama police intercepted a Santro vehicle bearing registration No DL8CN-6983 at Nikas Pulwama and recovered approximately 15 Kgs of contraband substance, Charas from the vehicle.

Case FIR No: 23/2019 under relevant sections of law stands registered in PS Rajpora. Pertinently two persons have also been arrested in this case for drug supply offences namely Tariq Ahmad Parray son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Chown Keller and Tariq Ahmad Kant son of Ghulam Nabi Kant, a resident of Pakherpora.

Officers investigating the case have learnt that a group of drug peddlers are involved in supplying the contraband substances in the area. Further investigation in the matter is going on.
