SRINAGAR: Police have arrested a drug peddlers and a case has been registered against him, police spokesman said.
On specific information a naka was established in the jurisdiction of Police Station Pampore headed by SHO Pampore.
During checking one person identified as Mohammad Muneeb Masoodi son of Nizam-ud-din Masoodi resident of Bagander Pampore was apprehended and 55 kilograms of poppy straw was recovered from his possession while he was travelling in a Xylo car bearing registration number JK01U-8030 from Bagander towards Srinagar.
In this regard case FIR NO 205/2017 under section 8/15-18 NDPS Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
