SRINAGAR: Police in Baramulla have arrested an assailant within two hours after commission of crime.
On 04/05/2021 evening, PP Mirgund received a complaint from one individual namely Asif Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Mohamad Bhat resident of KP Bala Rambail regarding assault by his neighbour identified as Muntazir Ahmad Bhat son of Mohamad Maqbool Bhat with a sharp edged knife at his home town over a minor dispute.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered and investigation was initiated. Meanwhile, an injured was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment.
During the course of investigation, a team under the supervision of I/C PP Mirgund was constituted. Officers after raiding at multiple locations got success in arresting the accused within two hours after commission of crime.
Further investigation into the matter in going on.
