Police in Srinagar has arrested an individual for stealing a laptop and recovered stolen laptop from his possession, an official spokesman in a statement said.
A police spokesperson in a statement said police station Karanagar received a written complaint from Dr Yasmeena stating therein that her Laptop (Mac Book Air) was stolen from SMHS hospital.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 12/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Karan Nagar & investigation was taken up, the spokesman said.
“Officers while investigating the case got to know that two persons are roaming in HMT Chowk with one laptop and are going to sell it at low cost. Officers arrived at the spot and nabbed one person namely Muzamil Ahmad Malik son of Bashir Ahmad Malik resident of HMT Chowk along with the laptop. When officers spoke to him, he confessed to the crime and revealed the name of another accomplice involved in the theft of a laptop. Efforts are on to arrest the other accused,” said police spokesman in a statement.
