Police Arrests Two Drug Peddlers in North Kashmir

   

SRINAGAR: Sopore Police have arrested two drug peddlers on Monday. They have also recovered contraband substances from their possession.

A police party of Police Station Sopore headed by SHO Sopore under the supervision of SDPO Sopore established a checkpoint at Adipora Crossing. The team apprehended two persons namely, Junaid Ahmad Mir S/O Ghulam Hassan Mir and Riyaz Ahmad Parra S/O Mohammad Maqbool Parra both the residents of Adipora, Sopore.

During the search Police Party was able to recover seven grams of contraband Heroine-like substance from their possession.

In this regard, case FIR No. 230 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.

Sopore police urges the common masses to give information regarding narcotics or any other crimes to the nearest police establishment or dial 112.

Police has requested general public to cooperate with them in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. (KINS )
