The attached properties comprise two residential houses owned by Javid Ahmad Dar and Parvez Ahmad Dar, both residents of Kujjar village, police said.

The attachment was carried out by Police Station Yaripora following orders issued by the competent authority under the relevant legal provisions.

According to police, the action relates to FIR No. 10/2021 registered at Police Station Yaripora, in which investigators had recovered 200 kilograms of Fukki, a poppy derivative, during the investigation.

Police said the attachment prevents the owners from transferring, selling or otherwise dealing with the properties without following the due legal process. The action forms part of the ongoing investigation into assets allegedly derived from or linked to the narcotics offence.

Officials said the move reflects the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies to dismantle the financial networks associated with drug trafficking by targeting properties allegedly acquired through the proceeds of narcotics-related activities.
