SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday attached immovable property belonging to a terror accused currently in judicial custody.
“The property—1.3 marlas of land (one marla = 272.25 sq ft)—located in Kadwah village of Basantgarh, was attached under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). The land was identified as being linked to terror-related activities during the investigation. The accused, Mohd Shafiq, was arrested last year for alleged links with militants, and a case under various sections of the UAPA is registered against him at Police Station Basantgarh,” police said.
The attached land, valued in lakhs, is now legally barred from being sold, transferred, leased, or used in any third-party transaction.
