Police Attach Residential House in NDPS Case in Srinagar

   

SRINAGAR: Police Station Rainawari on Monday attached the property of Muhammad Shafi Bota, son of Muhammad Safdar, a local resident of Sultan Mohalla, Rangerstop, Nigeen. Officials said the action was carried out under legal provisions related to an ongoing narcotics case.

The attached property comprises a two storey residential house constructed on 12 marlas of land under Survey No 4301 and Khewat No 623. Police stated that the attachment is connected to the involvement of the owner’s son, Nasir Ahmad Bota, in an NDPS case registered in 2022.

According to police sources, Nasir Ahmad Bota is an accused in FIR No 39 of 2022 under sections 8, 21 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Police Station Rainawari. The property attachment, they said, forms part of routine legal proceedings undertaken in cases involving allegations of narcotics related offences.

Officials added that further action will proceed as per law and that such measures aim to strengthen deterrence and support ongoing investigations. [KNT]
