SRINAGAR: Police on Monday presented a charge sheet against two persons for their alleged involvement in “provocative speeches” in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district in 2018.
“Police today presented a charge sheet against 02 accused identified as Mohd Rafiq Shah resident of Shuhama, Ganderbal and Bashir Ahmad Lone resident of Brain Nishat for their involvement in case FIR No. 71/2018 pertaining to provocative speech at Chunduna Ganderbal,” a police statement revealed.
In the year 2018, the duo delivered a “provocative speech” on the funeral of a militant Mohd Rafiq Bhat at Chunduna Ganderbal, reads the statement.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 71/2018 was registered in Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was initiated in the matter.
During the course of the investigation, Police collected all the evidence regarding the case and subsequently arrested both the accused persons involved in the crime. Police today presented a charge sheet against the accused before the Court.
