Police Conduct Raids in UAPA Case Linked to Banned TeH

   

SRINAGAR: Police in north kashmir’s Sopore area on Thursday carried out searches at multiple locations as part of the ongoing probe into FIR No. 10/2024, registered under Sections 10 and 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against the banned organisation Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, officials said.

They said that the teams visited the residential premises of Zaffar Islam alias Yadullah Peer of Dangerpora, Lateef Ahmad Kaloo of Hanfia Colony Arampora, and Mohammad Ashraf Malik of Tawheed Bagh. The searches, they said, were conducted in the presence of an Executive Magistrate after police secured the necessary warrants from the Special UAPA Court in Sopore.

“During the operation, investigators examined various materials and electronic devices relevant to the case.”

“Further legal formalities and follow-up procedures are being undertaken as the investigation continues to move forward”, officials added. (GNS)
