SRINAGAR: In an effort to maintain public safety and deter reckless behavior on the roads, the police in Baramulla cracked down on stunt bikers and booked three individuals involved in such dangerous activities.

A police party from Police Station Baramulla, led by SHO PS Baramulla, seized three two-wheelers and booked three persons engaged in stunt biking in Baramulla town. The individuals have been identified as Umar Hassan Dar, son of Mohd Maqbool Dar, resident of Renji Pattan; Faheem Maqbool Tantary, son of Mohd Maqbool Tantary, resident of Shirpora Pattan; and Shahid Ahmad Dar, son of Mohd Abdullah Dad, resident of Puthar Tappar Pattan.

A case under relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Baramulla, and an investigation has been initiated.

The police have been closely monitoring the increasing incidents of stunt biking in various areas. These dangerous activities not only pose a significant threat to the lives of the bikers themselves but also endanger the lives of innocent bystanders and motorists on the roads. The police consider such behaviour a serious violation of traffic laws and a major public safety concern.

The police urge the public to report any instances of reckless stunt biking or other traffic violations to the authorities. The cooperation of the community is essential in maintaining road safety and ensuring a secure environment for all residents.
