SRINAGAR: Police in north Kashmir’s Baramulla took action against three individuals involved in anti-national activities, obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority, officials said.

“The three accused individuals, identified as Maqsad Ali Kohli, son of Maqsood Ali, resident of Navarunda Uri, Mohd Usman Bhat, son of Abdullah Bhat, resident of Sahora Uri, and Ghulam Nabi Wani, son of Late Mohd Shaban, resident of Chandkote Kreeri, have been booked under the Public Safety Act. They have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal, Jammu,” a spokesperson in a statement said.

It is pertinent to mention that numerous cases have been registered against these individuals, who have been involved in disturbing law and order and subversive activities. Despite their involvement in multiple FIRs, they have persisted in their unlawful activities.
