Srinagar: Police on Saturday evening detained three youth over charges of stone pelting in Dialgam village of south Kashmir’s Islamabad district on Saturday evening.

An eyewitness said that an army party who were on routine patrolling was pelted with stones by some youth at main chowk in Dialgam. Following the incident three youth identified as Zameer Ahmed, Sameer Ahmed and Aqib Ahmed were detained by the police.

When Kashmir Life contacted SSP Islamabad for his version he said: “you should ask to the concerned SHO, not me, he has a primary responsibility to provide the details.”

However, when contacted concerned SHO, he refused to give any details by saying, “I’m in a meeting and I cannot give you the details right now.”
