Reports said that a protest rally led by party’s General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar along with scores of NC workers took out a rally from party headquarters at Nawai-Subh to Lal Chowk, however, a contingent of police and paramilitary troopers stopped the march near TRC junction.

No among the rally was allowed to move towards the Lal Chowk, forcing the protesters to disperse from the spot.

Earlier, National conference workers led by NC district president Bandipora, Gulam Rasool Naz held a protest in Bandipora against the recent killings in Pulwama. The protestors have reportedly submitted a memorandum to additional deputy commissioner Bandipora.
