The Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday foiled the protest march of National Health Mission (NHM) employees when they tried to march towards the main road to register their protest.

An eyewitness said that health employees in hundreds registered their protest at press enclave and then tried to march towards the polo view, however, police party deployed at the residency road swung into action and foiled the protest. Many employees were also detained by the police.

“We are protesting from almost a month, but the government is turning a blind eye towards our queries, said one of protesting employee, Bilal Ahmed told Kashmir Life.

The protestors further threatened that they will continue their protest demonstrations if their demand are not fulfilled.

It is pertinent to mention, the MHM employees are on strike from almost a month demanding regularisation of their services.
