Police on Monday, did not allow anyone to enter the residence of Hurriyat (G) chairman, and participate in a seminar called by Syed Ali Geelani.

“Extra police personnel were called early Monday, who did not allow even the Hurriyat Conference and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat office bearers to enter the premises,” Hurriyat (G), spokesman Ayaz Akbar told Kashmir Life.

He added that Hurriyat had decided to hold a seminar about the martyrs of July 13, 1931 and their mission and a number of scholars, intellectuals, political thinkers and historians were invited to attend the seminar. “But nobody was allowed to enter the sieged residence of Geelani,” Akbar said.

Pertinently, Syed Ali Geelani is undergoing house arrest from March, this year, when he returned from New Delhi.
