At least five employees of National Health Mission on Wednesday got injured when the police resorted to mild lathi-charge to prevent their march to the Civil Secretariat.

Carrying placards and shouting slogans, thousands of NHM employees in the afternoon took out the protest rally and marched towards the Civil Secretariat demanding ‘regularisation’ of their jobs.

One of the female protesting employee Shouting slogans like “ Mehbooba Mufti Hi Hi” “ Gali Gali Mai Shor hai Bali baghat Chor hai” and many more.

Amid anti-government sloganeering, the demonstrators staged a sit-in at Shalimar Chowk.

Traffic came to halt in old city area due to protest.

While reaching near Shalimar Chowk, the contingent of police restricted them from heading towards the Civil Secretariat.

The protestors and the police clashed during the protest.

Meanwhile, when they forcefully tried to march, police resorted to mild lathi-charge and also fired chilly bombs to disperse the protestors.

Around five NHM employees sustained injuries in the lathi-charge.

Meanwhile, NHM employees from Kashmir division also staged a protest in Srinagar demand their regularization.
