Days after a youth was killed allegedly by the Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) in HMT Srinagar, the Director General of Police (DGP) K Rajendra Kumar Tuesday said that investigation into the killing is on and those who are found guilty will be punished as per law.
“Everything will be cleared and case will be thoroughly investigated as loss of any innocent life is highly condemnable. Law will take its own course. Whosoever is found guilty will be punished,” the DGP told KNS over phone from Jammu.

Dar, 21, an engineering student of SSM, was killed in forces action in Zainakote in Srinagar outskirts on Saturday barely few hours after Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, left Srinagar after addressing his much-hyped rally here.
He said that he has asked the investigating authorities to submit the report as soon as possible.
The Director General of Police, however, refused to divulge any details about the investigation, saying that till the investigation into the youth’s killing is not completed, no final word can be said over it. “The Magisterial enquiry has started. We just began the investigations. Nothing can be said about investigation yet. Let us wait till the investigations are over,” Rajendra said.
Meanwhile the DGP said that the police would act strictly against “trouble mongers”.
“We will not allow anybody to violate law and order in the valley. Whosoever violates law would be dealt strictly,” he said.
Hinting that police would go tough against the stone pelting incidents, the DGP said that police are identifying the people behind the stone pelting. “We are identifying the people who are involved or are behind stone pelting. After identification strict action under the law will be taken,” the DGP warned.
