Police arrested a notorious burglar and recovered electronic goods worth lakhs of rupees from him in South Kashmir’s Islamabad district. Police sources told CNS that a few days before burglars had broken into the electronic store of one Jeelani Shah son of Qudrat-ullah Shah of Kadipora Islamabad who had lodged a written complaint in police station Sherbagh vide FIR number 239/2013 under section 457, 380 of RPC.

“We arrested a suspected namely Muhammad Maqbool Wagay son of Ali Muhammad resident of Zainapora, Shopian who during questioning admitted his role in the burglary and told police that he after stealing electronic goods loaded them in a load carrier (JK22-3222) and stored them in his own electronic shop located at Zainapora, Shopian,” Chowki Officer Sherbagh Police Station Muhammad Yousf told CNS.

He further said that the accused during questioning confessed that he had also stolen electronic goods worth lakhs of rupees at Hardpora Achabal which belonged to one Shah Asif. “All the goods worth lakhs of rupees have been recovered from him,” police officer said.
