SRINAGAR: Director General of Jammu and Kashmir police, RR Swain on Sunday announced a Rs 10 lakh reward for the tip-off in recent targeted attacks in Kashmir. The police chief said that no one will be spared.

Recently, militants fired upon inspector Masroor Ali in the Eidgah area of Srinagar, who is battling for his life.

On October 30 a non-local labourer Mukesh Kumar in Trumchi Nowpora, Pulwama was shot dead while he was on his way to a bank. In another incident Head Constable of JK Police Gulam Mohammad at Wailoo Uralpora in Pattan, was shot at by militants and he succumbed to his injuries.

Swain, while announcing the cash reward, said that police is very near to solving these three cases. He added that those who have supported militants by providing them with vehicles, and phones, giving shelter, or helping in any way shall be dealt with stringently according to the law.

RR Swain took over as 17th Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Swain took charge from former DGP Dilbag Singh, who superannuated on October 31.
