SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday have presented chargesheet against two senior separatist leaders – for raising anti-India slogans during a public rally at Inderkoot Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district

Quoting an official news agency KDC reported that Sumbal police presented the chargsheet against two separatist leaders, Muhammad Yasin Malik and Aga Syed Hassan for raising anti-India slogans in a public rally at Inderkoot Sumbal in the year 2010. An FIR 278/2010 under section 188, 353 RPC was registered against two separatist leaders, he said.

“Police presented the chargesheet before the Munsif Court Sumbal on Saturday,” he added.

Malik and Aga Syed were booked by the Sumbal police in 2010 for holding pro-independence rallies and gatherings in the Inderkoot area of Sumbal town.

Malik is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
