Police Provide Rs 4 Lakh Relief to Islamabad Grenade Victim

Police provided a relief of Rs our Lakh to a conflict victim in Islamabad district of South Kashmir.

“Relief of Rs 04 Lakh was provided to the family members of a conflict victim Abdul Jabbar Wagay who was killed in a grenade blast at Ganjiwara Islamabad,” a police statement said Wednesday evening.

On 27-05-2015 a grenade was hurled by militants in which Abdul Jabbar was killed and several others were injured.

The deceased Abdul Jabbar Wagay (45), who was an ice cream vendor, is survived by a handicapped widow and two teen-age daughters.

Police took an initiative to provide them immediate welfare relief so that future of this destitute family is secured and to compensate the unbearable loss at the hands of militants.
