Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a peddler in Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir and recovered about 1024 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon from him.

According to a police statement, acting on a tip off, a police party of police station Ashmuqam headed by SHO Sheikh Inam-Ul-Assad intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK03C/7563 on KP Road at Jamboo, Ashmuqam. “Upon the search of the vehicle, the police party recovered 1024 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon concealed in bag. The driver of the vehicle Fayaz Ahmad Kumar son of Abdul Aziz Kumar resident of Anchidora, Islamabad who was transporting the contraband was taken into custody,” the statement informed.

A case FIR NO 23/2015 under section 8/21 NDPS was registered against the peddler in Police Station Ashmuqam and investigation has been taken up. During the questioning of the peddler, the statement said, “he revealed that he was transporting the contraband to sell it among the youth of the area indulging in abuse of the drug.”
