Police Recover Body of ‘Missing’ Person; Two Girls Injured in South Kashmir Accident

Police Wdenesday recovered a body of a missing person from river Jehlum here last evening.

“A police party of police station RM Bagh recovered the body of missing 28 years old Adil Ahmad Wani son of Mohammad Shafi Wani resident of Galibabad HMT Srinagar from river Jehlum at Shivpora. The deceased was missing since from 14th of last month,” a police statement said this afternoon.

Meanwhile, fire broke out in the residential house of Habib Ullah Bhat son of Abdul Rahim resident of Mantepora Dehrna Dooru resulting in complete damage to the house. Fire was brought under control with the help of  fire tenders  and local Police, the statement informed.

The statement added that one person was injured when he was attacked by a bear in Khag area of Budgam district.

“A bear attacked and injured 30 years old Abdul Qayoom Lone son of  Ghulam Mohammad resident of Daranpora Shuglipora at Daranpora Khag, Budgam. The injured was shifted to PHC Khag for treatment,” it said.

It further added that a Santro car bearing registration number JK03C/5143 hit and injured 02 pedestrian minor girls, Mehwish Farooq daughter of  Farooq Ahmad and Ruqba Jan daughter of Mohammad Amin Najar both residents of Anchidora near Cement factory, Islamabad. Both the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for treatment.
