The ATM machine of Jammu and Kashmir Bank that was stolen along with cash in Central Kashmir’s Budgam District in October this year has been recovered by police while three accused involved in crime have been arrested.

Sub Divisional Police Officer Magam Syed Fayaz Ahmed told CNS that Manager of JK Bank Branch Hardu Abura Magam reported in Police Station Magam that during intervening night of October 20 and 21, some unknown thieves stole ATM Machine along with cash (Rs 809100) from the branch.

“During the investigation the names of culprits appeared who were instantly apprehended. They confessed the crime and handed over Rs 503000. On their identification we also recovered a Tata moble, a Wagon R vehicle and an iron rod used for the crime,” he said and added that a case vide FIR number 171/2016 under Section 457, 380 RPC was registered in Police Station Magam.

The police officer identified the accused as Manzoor Sofi, Yasir Sheikh from Kanihama Budgam, and Arif Mir from Mazhama Budgam.
