SRINAGAR: Police recovered two suspicious balloons from the rooftop of a house in the Hiranagar area of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Monday and launched an investigation to determine their origin, officials said.
A senior police officer said the house owner noticed two balloons—one white and the other green—lying on the rooftop and immediately alerted the police.
Acting on the information, a police team reached the spot and took the balloons into custody for examination, the officer said.
Police have initiated an investigation to establish the source of the balloons and the circumstances in which they reached the area, officials said.
No further details were immediately available, and the investigation is underway.
