Police on Sunday recovered a huge quantity of contraband substances from a residential house in Lelhar village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

The spokesman said that a police team conducted a number of raids at village Lelhar Kakapora and during raids, 145 Kilograms of Cannabis leaves (raw material of charas) and 1.5 kilograms of Charas powder was recovered from the residential houses of Abdul Hamid Bhat, son of Ismail Bhat, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din and Shabir Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Maqbool, all residents of Lelhar.

Accordingly, a case FIR number 42/2018 & 43/2018 under relevant sections of the law have been registered in Police Station Kakapora and investigation is going on.
