Police recovered a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused involved in the crime.
According to police spokesman, Police Station Dooru received a complaint from one person stating that his daughter has been kidnapped by Bilal Ahmad Chopan Son of Ghulam Nabi Chopan resident of Peth Dialgam, Islamabad.
“On this information Police Station Dooru lodged a report and investigation under the supervision of SSP Anantnag Altaf Ahmad Khan was set into motion,” he said and added that “during the course of investigation, various raids were conducted on different locations. After strenuous efforts of Anantnag police, the girl was recovered from the possession of the accused at Inshan Warden. After completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her parents.”
A case FIR number 79/2017 under section 363 RPC was registered against the accused in Police Station Dooru and investigation was taken up.
