SRINAGAR: Two tourists who lost their way while trekking in the forests of Doodhpathri in Budgam were rescued by the police on Saturday evening, officials said.
An official said that the police launched a rescue operation soon after receiving the information.
He said that after rigorous efforts, both tourists—one from Punjab and another from Meghalaya—were located and brought to safety.
Meanwhile, the rescued tourists expressed gratitude to the police and local volunteers who carried out the rescue operation. —(KNO)
