Kargil police after receiving information that few truck drivers and conductors along with their vehicles were trapped in a snow-covered Dropatikund area of Drass, swiftly dispatched a police party to rescue them.
“After receiving the information, a police party of Police Post Minamarag had embarked towards Dropatikund despite a difficult terrain and rescued the trapped drivers and conductors,” the police statement issued here said.
Subsequently, they were taken to Sub District Hospital Drass for a checkup where doctors declared them stable.
SSP Kargil, in this regard, has commended the swift and prompt action of Police Post Minamarg in saving precious lives.
