As unidentified gunmen looted yet another bank branch, police said they have clear clues about the looters and have identified them. J&K Bank’s Ratnipor branch in Pulwama was looted on Thursday afternoon.

SP Pulwama Rayees Mohammed Bhat told reporters that while checking CC TV footage from Ratnipora bank, they have been able to identify a particular module of the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit. The particular module, he said, is headed by foreign militant identified as abu Ali.

The officer said that the same module earlier looted Rs 13 lakh from JK Bank’s Malpora branch in Budgam on November 25, 2016. Later, on December 8, he said, the same group looted Rs 10 lakh from JK Bank’s  Arihal branch in Pulwama.

In Ratnipora on Thursday, Bhat said, the foreign militant was accompanied by a local associate Arif Dar, a resident of Lelhar in Pulwama.

“We easily identified them from the footage because they were unmasked,” Bhat told Kashmir Life. “They were two foreigners including abu Ali and abu Ismail and two locals of whom one was identified.” He said only three – two foreigners and a local, had barged into the bank, while as fourth one was outside the bank.
