SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in South Kashmir’s Kulgam solved a burglary case by arresting three individuals involved in the crime and recovering stolen property.
“A written complaint was lodged at Police Station DH Pora by Mohd Shabaan Naik, son of Ghulam Qadir Naik, a resident of Badijahlan, DH Pora. He reported that his livestock (five in number) had been stolen by unknown thieves during the night of June 30th and July 1st,” reads a statement
In response, a case was registered at Police Station DH Pora and an investigation was initiated.
“‘Acting swiftly and using all available means, the police team identified three suspects: Imtiyaz Ahmad Malik, resident of Sarmarag, DH Pora; Zahoor Ahmad Ganie, resident of Main Bazar Pattan, Baramulla; and Mohd Ashraf Mir, resident of Wein Imamsahib, Shopian. During questioning, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime. They were arrested, and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime (registration number JK22-0598) was seized,” it reads..
Upon their disclosure, the stolen property was recovered. Further investigation is ongoing, and more recoveries are expected.
