Police on Wednesday said that a few days back, Police Station Budgam received a written complaint from Branch Head E-com Express Office Budgam wherein he states that during the intervening night of 31/01-04-2019 some unknown thieves had barged into his office and have stolen cash from the locker.

Police solve theft case in Budgam, three accused arrested

A police spokesperson in a statement said, “On this information, a case FIR No. 70/2019 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation was set into motion.”

“During the course of the investigation, many suspects were called for questioning. When the officers investigating the case spoke to one suspect Adil Jahangeer Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar resident of Razwen Budgam, they learnt about his involvement in the crime and were able to recover an amount of rupees 3,65,340 based on his disclosure,” said the spokesman.

“Officers investigating the case have also arrested two accomplices of the accused involved in the crime who were identified as Muddasir Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar and Ummer Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Ahmad Wani, both residents of Razwen Budgam,” said Police spokesman in a statement.
