SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested an absconding Special Police Officer (SPO) who allegedly murdered his pregnant wife in Kathua district.
An official said that SPO Mohan Lal, who was posted in district police lines Kathua was evading his arrest after he allegedly brutally killed his pregnant wife identified as Asha Sharma a mother of two daughters, at their Dharalta residence in the Billawar area.
“The absconding SPO was arrested and further investigation is going on,”said the officials.
