SRINAGAR: A police constable received injuries in his foot after his service rifle went off accidentally this evening at District Police Lines Pulwama in the south Kashmir district, official sources said.
Quoting sources news agency GNS reported that head constable Basharat Ahmad was removed to District Hospital Pulwama for treatment following the incident.
He is responding well to the treatment and his overall condition is said to be stable, an official said.
