SRINAGAR: A JeM militant and a policeman were killed while three army men and two civilians were injured in an ongoing gunfight in the Pariwan area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, police said.
An official said that a militant and a policeman were killed while three army men and two civilians were injured so far in the ongoing encounter at Pariwan area of Kulgam.
The identity of the slain militant could not be ascertained immediately and the slain policeman was identified as SgCt Rohit Chhib.

Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Pariwan area of Kulgam.
