Polling in Central Kashmir, ground report

As the polling is going on in Srinagar Parliamentary constituency, according to reports  the scene outside polling station is from mild to moderate.

Our correspondent travelled to Batmaloo area where the figures till 11:30 am were:

Mehboob Public school, Poll station no 125: 8 votes while another poll station no 124b  in same school recorded 2 votes.

Government boys higher secondary school Batmaloo, poll station number  112, 68 votes,  Poll station no. 116: 17 votes, poll station no 115: 18 votes, poll station no. 114: 24 votes, poll station no 113: 48 votes, polling station 111:106 votes. According to officials, polling station 113 recorded first vote at 7am.

Locals of the area according to reports  were desperate to cast vote.

In another polling station at Municipal sub office Lakhsman Pora at polling station number 119: 16 vote, 120: 06 votes, 113: 07 votes.

In Magarmal Bagh B polling station no 130, 77 votes were recorded. While as polling station no 129 of Magrmanl B,  40 votes were recorded. The polling staff of this station alleged of treating in bad way and complained that they were offered nothing to eat since last evening.

In Lakhsman pora B polling station no 112, 39 votes were recorded. In polling station no 121, 72 votes were recorded.

Our correspondent reports that locals were having mixed feeling. When some claimed  that the trend is going PDP’s way, others say that NC will emerge as winner.

Meanwhile the reports from old city’s is that in Kathi Maidaan out of total 145 votes, 29 wre polled. While as in Khushaal Sar no 34, out of total 861, the number of votes polled were 165. In Zadibal area, 129 votes were polled out of 839. In Shri Bhat area of same segment, 37 were polled out 604. While as in Nai doori Batak pora out of total 820, 22 were polled.
