Students from Kashmir Government Polytechnic, Gogji Bagh, staged a sit-in Monday at press colony in Srinagar demanding the whereabouts of their colleague Mohammad Adnan, s/o Hilal Ahmad Gilkar of Nowgam Srinagar missing since June 18, 2015.
“We are here to express our dissatisfaction with J&K police,” said Naveed Sarwar, a student. “So many days have passed since our friend went missing but police hasn’t taken any action so far.”
The students were carried placard and shouted slogans decrying the police inaction.
When contacted, the official in Nowgam Police Station said they haven’t received any missing report of Adnan. “No such report has been filed in the police station,” the official said.
Earlier the family members of Adnan published missing reports in the local press seeking the whereabouts of their missing son.
