SRINAGAR: Poppy cultivation on 44 Kanals was destroyed across Kashmir in recent days, an official said. The Excise Enforcement teams launched the campaign.
An official spokesman said Illicit poppy crop spread on 569 kanals 14 marlas of land have been destroyed in Kashmir till date and 12 police cases were lodged against the involved.
A police spokesman here said they destroyed poppy cultivation at Chogal Pora Manzgam (Kulgam) which was spread over 17 kanals of land. A case (FIR 43 of 2021) was registered at Police Station Manzgam.
