SRINAGAR: The York University is inviting applications from post-doctoral students under the Vision: Science To Application (VISTA) fellowship.
Candidates can apply for the spring session before May 12, 2023.
Fellowship can also be awarded to individuals with PhD from other national or international institutions, doing postdoctoral research that is aligned with the VISTA programme.
Those selected in the distinguished VISTA fellowship programme receive a minimum of $70,000/year ( 57,78,507 INR) for up to 2 years, an annual research allowance of $7,500 (6,20,394 INR), and an annual networking allowance of $1,000 (82,527 INR).
It is a collaborative research programme funded by the Canada First Research Excellence Fund (CFREF, 2016-2023).
To be eligible for the fellowship, your application must be supported by a VISTA Core Member who would become your supervisor and VISTA Associate Members are eligible as co-supervisors with a VISTA Core Member.
You must hold a doctorate in an area that falls within the VISTA mandate, including fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI and Machine Learning, and Faculty of Science (Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry).
