SRINAGAR: The Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, has announced planned power shutdowns affecting several areas in Kashmir valley this month.
A shutdown of the 33 kV Nihalpora–Pattan line will impact power supply to Pattan, Zangam, Hanjiwera, Buran, Hospital, Wanigam, Hyderbeigh and surrounding localities from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on December 6 and 11, 2025.
Similarly, the 33 kV Pahalan–Hamray tap line will be offline on December 8, 2025, disrupting electricity to Palhallan, Hamray, Wanigam, Hyderbeigh and adjoining areas during the same hours.
The 33 kV Nihalpora–Gulmarg line shutdown will affect Tangmarg, Gulmarg, Kulhama, Base Station, Baba Reshi Shrine, Mulgam, Khyber and neighbouring areas from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM on December 10 and 13, 2025.
Additionally, the 132 kV Mirbazar–Mattan transmission line will be shut down on December 8, 2025, cutting power to Pahalgam, Achabal, Mattan, Gopalpora and nearby localities between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
Officials have advised residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled outages.
