SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of north and south Kashmir on September 3, 5 and 8 to facilitate maintenance work on transmission lines.
According to KPDCL, power supply to Kreeri, Saloosa, Hospital and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 3 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Delina-Kreeri Tapline.
On the same day, power supply to lift irrigation schemes at Dogipora-Khiram/Durpora, Khiram-Sirhama and Khudpora will be affected during the same hours due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Awantipora-Khiram LIS Tapline.
The shutdown of the 33 kV Amargarh-Nowpora line on September 5 will affect power supply to Nowpora, Seelo, Achabal, Behrampora, Bomai, Bugoo and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
Similarly, the 33 kV Awantipora-Tral 1st line will remain shut on September 8, affecting power supply to Chewa, Tral Bala, Bajwani, Kahlil, Bathnoor, Hayina and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm.
KPDCL said the shutdowns have been scheduled to facilitate necessary work on the respective power lines.
