Power Supply to Remain Affected in Several Kashmir Areas

   

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled shutdowns of several 33 KV transmission lines, affecting electricity supply in multiple areas of the Valley between June 4 and June 20 for maintenance and related works.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 KV Nihalpora–Gulmarg line will affect power supply to Reram, Chandiloora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katipora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shrai, Baderkoot, Baba Reshi, Cable Car, Khyber Chamdil, Wanigam, Malpora and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on June 6 and June 8.

The shutdown of the 33 KV Habak–Hazratbal line will affect electricity supply to Kashmir University, Nageen, Kanitar, NIT, Hazratbal, Umer Colony, Rangpora, BARC, Habak and adjoining areas from 9 am to 3 pm on June 7.

KPDCL has also rescheduled the shutdown of the 33 KV Bemina–Exhibition line to June 4 from 9 am to 3 pm.

Similarly, the shutdown of the 33 KV Rawalpora–Air Force line has been rescheduled to June 7 from 9 am to 3 pm.

The shutdown of the 33 KV Rawalpora–Rangreth line has been rescheduled to June 7 from 10 am to 12 noon and again on June 14 from 9 am to 3 pm.

In addition, the shutdowns of the 33 KV Bemina I/II Line, 33 KV Bemina JVC Line, 33 KV Bemina KP Bagh Rakhiarth Line and 33 KV Bemina Exhibition Line have been rescheduled to June 20 from 9 am to 3 pm.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements during the scheduled power interruptions.
